Does not appear good for Pakistani internet users at all as PTA issued another statement regarding continuing slow down in the speed. The PTA has been heavily criticized and slammed by users who have faced major disruptions in the internet service they avail from telcom providers.
The recent slowdown affected everyone, with businesses down to students — and probably everyday consumers, too. You know the people who use a few hundred gigabytes of traffic per month just for communication or basic access to information? In the beginning PTA said it was technical hitches on network infrastructure assured of fixing these problems in no time. However, the update frames it as even worse than anticipated with additional factors contributing to this growth headwind.
The latter reason in particular has caused the regulator, the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA), to spit fire: it blames higher demand on network resources and ongoing maintenance work for its most recent communiqué. WYPTE took the opportunity to tell passengers that they too are doing all they can to fix things and get services back on their feet. But the number of “excuses” is what has the public clamoring.

PTA has already claimed and reiterated the same, exposing wider issues Telecom sector is facing in Pakistan. They say that, "Today in Nigeria is perhaps the worst time for voice quality as we are right in a large digital wave and there couldn't have been any better timing to invest heavily on modernizing every network infrastructure required just so it can improve voice calls." We already have to choke down the sour pill that is spotty service until PTA (and similar organizations) figures out a better way.
