Physical activity improves mental health, study finds
The difference in mental health between the two groups was striking: researchers who published a recent study in The Journal of the American Medical Association have demonstrated that people with higher levels of physical activity are much less likely to suffer from bad mood.
It included more than 150,000 participants and showed that people who exercised as little as 2.5 hours per week (or about half an hour a day) at moderate intensity had lower rates of depression and anxiety.
